GROW GUIDE
CAT GRASS
Prepare
Start by soaking your seeds for 6–8 hours, then drain completely.
Fill a shallow tray or pot with moist soil or coco coir. Spread the seeds evenly across the surface in a single layer - just enough to cover the soil without overlapping. This spacing helps the grass grow thick and healthy without trapping excess moisture.
Gently press them down and cover with a light dusting of soil to keep them in place while they sprout.
Cover & Germinate (Days 1-3)
Cover your tray with a lid, damp paper towel, or plastic wrap to trap humidity. Place it somewhere warm and dim for 2–3 days.
Check once a day to be sure the soil stays evenly moist (a light mist works best).
Watering (Days 4-5)
When the first green shoots appear (about an inch tall), remove the cover and move the tray to bright, indirect light.
Keep the surface evenly moist - never let it dry out completely. If it feels soggy, let it drain before watering again.
Snack Time (Day 6+)
Around day 6, your cat grass will be lush and ready to snack on. Trim a small handful just above the soil and offer it fresh.
If your cat eats directly from the pot, rotate trays to keep growth healthy. For continuous greens, start a new batch every 1–2 weeks.
Additional Tips
- If grass looks pale: Move to brighter light or closer to a window.
- If mold appears: Reduce watering and improve airflow.
- If it wilts: It’s likely too dry - add gentle moisture.
🌿 Use organic seeds and clean soil for happy, healthy cats.
